The folting chuck is a mechanism for finishing a bore. Finishing is the last stage in part manufacture which is decisive or respecting its geometric dimensions. The floating chuck limits dimensional dispersion and geometric defects.

Note : All above chucks are automatically supplied with a floating sleeve having a cylindrical bore. These chucks can also be used with standard type ESX or ER collets.
Although these collets do not have sealed channels, a new system incorporated into the floating chuck,ensures it is sealed to fluids
This provides the advantage of central spraying using standard collets (low cost, low stocks, the same collet can be used for all diameters within a 1 mm range) instead of 0,1 for collets with vulcanized channels
This is the most universal chuck. For use with all reamers it can also be utilized as a coupling whenever an application requires a parallel or angular off-set capability

All chucks of the ,Compact,, series (whose number is preceded with the letter ,C,, or «Super Compact- -SC-) have a body whose overall dimensions are reduced. They are mostly used on transfer machines and on multispindle heads. The adjustable angular correc¬tion is not available on these chucks.
